Peeper Palace

Peeper Palace is five silent black and white 16mm film loops, transferred to video, and projected onto vellum banners that blow gently in the wind of a fan. This wind makes the projections spill off the paper onto the walls and floors. These films show the desire to comfort and be comforted, to objectify and to be objectified, to see what cannot be seen, and the desire to destroy. The audio in the installation documents Brett Price and me walking thorough a swamp as we record the mating call of peeper frogs (pseudacris crucifer).
